I like the iPod dock idea. Maybe it could play music according to the temperature or something.

That's what's so great about brewing! There's no end of the gadgets I can make, and to top it off, at the end of the day Ive got some awesome brews to get through. What a great hobby.

This sounds like my kind of project. It has searing metal, an ankle grinder, and makes a huge mess of the kitchen. You are lucky to have a tolerant wife who understands that your projects need to be done in order for any progress to be made. A better brewing setup seems to me to be a great goal. Make sure you take that girl out to dinner to thank her for her patience. Theres just one thing I don't get. There is no wiring involved. How can you have a project with no wires? I think that you need some sort of temperature monitoring system, an iPod dock or something electrical on this.
